Use of 'Prognoz' EPD in narcology
The developers of 'Prognoz' technology have been cooperating with the staff of the Tver Regional Substance Abuse Clinic in this socially significant direction since 1996. This cooperation entailed both scientific research and implementation the research results into practical work.
As an example of the former, an excerpt can be cited from a study on identifying statistically significant differences in variance of electrophysical parameters for various groups of patients, which was carried out in order to formulate an objective criterion for the effectiveness of rehabilitation procedures. The electrophysical parameters were being registered in biologically active points that corresponded to the concept of acupuncture points (APs) grouped into 'acupuncture channels' (ACs).

Thus, acute withdrawal syndrome has been reliably characterized by a decrease in the overall 'energy' of AC system as a whole. This effect was most pronounced in the 'target' subset of ACs as shown in the table by ACs with measuring points localized on the feet.
In particular, the results of the scientific research are implemented in successful practical work of Dr. V.B. Arakcheev, whose activities with the 'Prognoz' system not only involve helping patients with alcohol and drug addiction, but also extend into the treatment of a fairly wide range of adverse psychophysiological conditions. He effectively uses the means of 'Prognoz' EPD for individualized treatment and control over the effectiveness of the psychotherapeutic impact within his usual practice.
